PINJARRA, Singleton-Irwinians and Halls Head were the three Peel Cricket Association clubs affected most by the weekend’s rain.
With rain washing out all of the A-grade games clubs now have just three games to secure a top four placing.
Seven clubs are still vying for the finals positions with just one win separating third from seventh while the top-placed Mandurah is just two games clear from seventh.
Pinjarra, Singleton-Irwinians and Halls Head could count themselves most unlucky from the weekend’s weather with the three finals contenders coming up against the bottom three teams who have won a combined two games.
It prevented the clubs from closing the gap or leap-frogging their fellow contenders Mandurah, Waroona, South Mandurah and Shoalwater Bay who all were set to play each other.
Of the finals contenders Mandurah lead the way with seven wins and three draws.
They are followed by Shoalwater Bay with six wins and three draw and Halls Head on six wins and two draws (Halls Head and Waroona have played one less game due to the Waroona bushfires).
Waroona is fourth with five wins and four draws while South Mandurah, Singleton-Irwinians and Pinjarra are all level on five wins and two draws.
This weekend Halls Head will play Shoalwater Bay and Waroona take on Singleton-Irwinians in two games that will shape the top four.
Mandurah take on Baldivis in a game they should win while other contenders South Mandurah play Hillman and Pinjarra take on Hillman in very winnable games.
