THE hopes and dreams of Halls Head Primary School students were buried in the school grounds last Friday to mark its 20th anniversary.
Officially opened on December 12, 1995 the school decided to celebrate the milestone with a time capsule.
Some students have written about their favourite things while others made predictions about where they see themselves in 20 years and changes they think will happen.
Year 6 student Lila Chaudhry predicted robots would replace teachers and the amount of students attending the school would double.
“It’s really cool to think people will be reading our messages in 20 years,” she said.
Other items buried include photos of staff and students, book titles, an article of school clothing and quirky paraphernalia.
The school’s art teacher, Sonia Doyle has made a mosaic stepping stone to cover the burial site, so the capsule can be found in 20 years.
