About 3:05am a gold Mazda 323 sedan travelling along Thomas Road in Oakford left the road and collided with a tree.
The 25-year-old male driver and a 29-year-female passenger died at the scene.
Police are still attempting to notify next of kin and at this time no further information on the deceased is available.
Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash or the Mazda prior to the crash.
