SHOALWATER Bay, Singleton-Iriwnians, Mandurah and Pinjarra have advanced to the inaugural Peel Premier League Twenty20 semi-finals following the final round games.
The teams to progress could have been different had a few results gone the other way after a number of games had extremely tight finishes.
In the South division Mandurah was able to win their two games on the weekend after winning one game and drawing the other in the opening rounds.
Mandurah finished on top of the ladder with Pinjarra second after splitting the points in the second weekend to finish with two wins, one draw and a loss.
In the North division Shoalwater Bay cemented itself as one of the competition’s favourites after being the sole team to go through the round stage undefeated.
Singleton-Irwinians had a strong weekend winning its two games which included a victory against the previously undefeated Hillman.
It was a disappointing weekend for Hillman who, after winning its opening two games, lost its next two to slip to third in the North division.
The top teams in each division will play off against the second placed team in the other division on March 19 to see who progresses to the grand final on the same day.
The winner will pocket $1000 with $500 for the runners up.
