THE Department of Parks and Wildlife advises that the following parks and recreation sites have been closed due to a severe Fire Danger Rating forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology for Sunday, November 22.
- Avon Valley National Park (closed until 12pm Monday 23 November 2015)
- Serpentine National Park (closed until 12pm Monday 23 November 2015)
- Gazetted motorcycle off-road vehicle area on Centreway Road, north of Gnangara Road, in the City of Swan (closed until 6pm today)
People are urged to avoid the area, follow the advice of Parks and Wildlife staff and observe signage. People already in the area should leave for a safer place.
The department will provide an update if the situation changes or when sites have been re-opened.
