A GREENFIELDS man sprung by police flushing drugs down a toilet was fined $1800 in Mandurah Magistrates Court on Friday.
David Andrew Cooper pleaded guilty to possession of methylamphetamine and ecstasy, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
The charges stemmed from a raid of his home in December, 2014.
The court heard Cooper was alerted to police executing a search warrant on his home, when officers found him leaving the bathroom with the toilet still flushing and his arm wet to the elbow.
A plumber was called to help the investigation with one gram of methylamphetamine found in the pipes.
Also found at Cooper’s property were ecstasy pills, smoking pipes and more than $1000 in cash.
As well as the fine Cooper was ordered to pay costs of $716.
The drugs and pipes will be destroyed, and the cash was seized.
