A LOCAL family is appealing for public assistance after more than $50,000 worth of items was stolen from their family home on Tuesday.
Some time between 10am and 11am Tuesday morning a front window to the Mariner’s Cove home was broken and the offenders entered the home before fleeing with jewellery, passports and a range of item’s belonging to the family’s late father.
A reward is being offered for the return of any items which include plasma televisions, a gold Rolex men’s watch and a Yamaha pocket rocket replica motorcycle.
A family member’s passports are now missing including one English and one Australian.
The family is appealing for everyone to look out for a range of antique jewellery items including a gold diamond engagement ring in the shape of a flower and a chain with Saint Christopher with the name “Alan” engraved on the back.
Also taken was an antique five-diamond gold setting ring with one of the diamonds missing and a distinctive topaz ring in a gold setting.
The family’s late father’s triple jump medals were also taken by the heartless thieves with four medals with his name engraved in the back missing along with his gold lighter.
