Three-year-old Chloe O’Callaghan has turned the heads of the Australia’s Got Talent producers, as one of the show’s smallest contestants.
The Singleton resident put on her favourite outfit – a hot pink tutu – and brought her favourite toy – a basketball half the size of her – to wow the Channel 7 show’s judges last month.
When asked to audition for the show, Chloe strutted her stuff on stage performing all the basketball tricks she knows.
“I can bounce the ball low; and walk and bounce; and hop and bounce,” the three-year-old said.
“Bouncing [the ball] is my favourite thing to do.
“I can also balance on the ball and touch my feet to my head, but sometimes that hurts my tummy.
“And I can spin with the ball.”
While she admits her pink tutu is not the best outfit for basketball, she still loves to wear it.
“I should have a basketball top like Summer [sister] but I don’t,” Chloe said.
Chloe’s mother, Jessie O’Callaghan said her daughter had only picked up the basketball three months ago, but had taken to it quickly.
“It comes so naturally to her; she has great coordination,” she said.
“She loves it so much that she wanted to make a basketball show using my phone.
“It was from there that my friend suggested we try out for Australia’s Got Talent.”
