The Mandurah private school under fire for banning a seven-year-old girl from speaking of her father's sexuality has been targeted by graffiti vandals on Friday.
Vandals spray-painted “Gay is the Way, your principal is a c***head” on the walls of the Foundation Christian College school hall in what appears to be a protest at the treatment of the girl, whose gay father was told by principal Andrew Newhouse she could only stay at the school as long as she did not speak of his sexuality.
Mr Newhouse made headlines this week when he said the school was “unable to support” the “world view” of a gay parent with a child at the college.
“I mentioned to the parent that if his daughter was to continue this topic of discussion with her peers, then it would be in both his and his daughter’s interests to move to a school that would support his world view," he said.
Staff of the school were painting over the graffiti on Friday afternoon.
