THE season has come to an end for the Peel Thunder Colts with the Mandurah side going down to Swans Districts by 23 points in the preliminary final on Sunday.
After kicking the opening goal of the game Peel could only manage one more in the opening half with Swans piling on nine to lead by 47 points at half time.
To their credit Peel never gave up holding Swans to just one goal in the second half while kicking five of their own to close the gap to 23 at full time, 10.14 (74) to 7.9 (51).
Peel was without AIS Academy player Noah Hura for the game after he ailed to pull up from an injury sustained in last week’s win against West Perth.
Travis Naughton was also a late out for the Thunder after being knocked out in the warm up before the game.
Jordan Adams kicked three goals for Peel while Keegan Power collected 25 disposals.
Despite the loss it was a far better effort for the Thunder players after they went down by 57 points against Swan Districts in their opening final.
Swan Districts will now play Claremont in the grand final.
In the League West Perth will meet Subiaco in the grand final after knocking off East Perth on the weekend.
