An air conditioner unit on the top floor of an East Perth hotel has caught fire, prompting the evacuation of the building.
Firefighters rushed to the Comfort Hotel in Hay Street just after 11.30am as flames poured out of the air conditioning unit on the seventh floor.
Sean Morgan, who works as a chef at the hotel, said he heard the alarm just after 11.15am.
"We were told to go, so out we went," he said.
The fire was put out within minutes of firefighters arriving at the scene.
