9:50pm A massive blaze has gutted a George Street home in Mandurah this evening.
Firefighters were called to the property just after 9pm with the fire fully involved.
Ambulance crews and police are at the scene.
At this stage it is not clear if anyone was inside the house when the fire started.
It is also not clear how the blaze began or if it was deliberately lit.
Police officers are warning neighbours to keep windows closed due to danger posed by burning asbestos.
The fire is under control but thick smoke is blanketing central Mandurah and crews are expected to remain at the property for at least the next three hours.
Investigations continue.
