Mandurah police are investigating a violent incident which left a man hospitalised early Wednesday morning.
Officers said a man and a woman were sitting in a car parked at Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre about 1.40am when three men approached the vehicle.
The offenders smashed a window before pulling the man out of the car and dragging him to nearby bushes.
The man was then seriously assaulted.
The 36-year-old was taken to Peel Health Campus with what are understood to be life-threatening injuries.
The centre carpark and part of Cemetary Road has been cordoned off while police continue their investigations.
