David Smith is Ireland-bound after winning a holiday thanks to Murphy's Irish Pub and Guinness.
MANDURAH resident David Smith won a trip for two to Ireland thanks to Murphy’s Irish Pub and Guinness last month.
With more than 1000 local entries during the 11 week competition, Mr Smith took away the big prize worth up to $4500.
The competition was drawn live on stage at Murphy’s in front of hundreds of hopeful patrons on August 31.
Mr Smith said he was “gobsmacked” when he found out he was the winner.
Originally from Scotland Mr Smith said he had been to Ireland a long time ago but was looking forward to heading back.
“I’ll pop over to Scotland when I’m there, that’s the plan, I’ll probably go for five to six weeks,” Mr Smith said.
Owner Edward Janiec said he was thrilled to see the excitement around the competition and is looking forward to giving away another trip next year.
