A Mandurah fishing trip turned in to a nightmare for three people when they were robbed by two men, one wielding a handgun.
Police will allege that a 23 year old Coodanup man and a 23 year old Pinjarra man committed aggravated robbery against three people who had driven to Mandurah to go fishing early on Sunday morning.
Two men, aged 24 and 31, and a 22 year old woman were sitting in their car at Egret Point in Halls Head at about 1am when another vehicle pulled up alongside them.
A male passenger proceeded to get out of the car and approached the victims, telling them they needed a licence to fish. A verbal altercation followed, during which another man got out of the car armed with a handgun acting in an intimidating manner.
The alleged perpetrators then robbed the victims and threw a large rock at their vehicle, breaking their windscreen before feeling the scene of the crime.
Police have arrested two men in relation to the incident who will face court in the coming days.
A 23 year old Coodanup man was charged with two counts of aggravated armed robbery, three counts of stealing and one count of attempted stealing and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
A 23 year old Pinjarra man was charged with aggravated robbery and criminal damage and is due to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court next Tuesday.
