MANDURAH’S Jonny Taylor’s upcoming release, due out early next week, is set to be something new for the country singer.
Described as a toe-tapper by the man himself, I Believe In You’s message is as positive and upbeat as the song itself and aims to inspire people.
“It’s very different to anything I’ve ever done before,” Taylor said.
“As a songwriter I tend to sing about issues.
“I’m a big believer of raising awareness.
“I wouldn’t say this is a new direction but it’s meant to inspire people.
“This is a feel good song that makes people smile.”
Taylor’s driving force always has been and always will be writing songs that move, inspire and empower people.
He said the song was inspired by the simple notion that we’re not alone in this life.
The video clip for I Believe in You was shot at Bootleg Brewery near Margaret River – a venue where Taylor frequently performs.
More than 100 people attended the video clip shoot, young and old, to dance around and participate in what is sure to be an unforgettable experience for many, immortalised into a fun and vibrant video clip that will be released on June 2 along with the digital and physical release of the single and DVD.
“We had 100 kids from the south west there on the day, including ones from Mandurah, and some special needs people,” Taylor said.
“We basically had a big party and there was such a good feeling on set.
“It is a long day and it can drag but everyone was so happy that it was fine.”
I Believe In You is set to take the lead on a five-track EP which will also feature two other new tracks and two older ones as well.
This is set to make way for Taylor’s new album due for release in the next year.
For now though, Taylor will hit the road on a four-and-a-half month tour with wife Nicole.
With more shows announced weekly, the wheels are well and truly in motion for another solid release from one of Australia’s hardest working musicians.
