SNOOZE Mandurah staff are pulling out all the stops this weekend to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
The event is on Saturday from 10am-noon and will include raffles, a silent auction, activities for children and morning tea, including tea and coffee.
Staff member Nadia Marek said they only came up with the idea to host an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event last week.
“Everyone has in some way been touched by cancer so it's an important cause,” she said.
“Mandurah Party and Event Hire have been really helpful, they're lending us trestle tables, urns and other equipment for the day.”
She said the group aimed to raise $2000 through the activities on the day and continued fundraising through the month of June.
The morning tea will cost $3 per person, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.
Guests do not need to confirm their attendance in advance and all are welcome on the day.
Cancer Council Western Australia chief Susan Rooney said the organisation was grateful for the hard work and dedication that people were putting into their morning tea events.
“The incredible commitment and support is critical to enabling us to continue and grow the work that we do,” she said.
Snooze Mandurah is at 8 Magenta Terrace, Mandurah and for more information on the event call the store on 9581 8033.
