REGIONAL Investigations Unit detectives have arrested two men as a result of their investigation into armed robberies.
It is alleged on the evening of May 18, the men entered a service station in Barragup armed with a tomahawk and a baseball bat and threatened staff.
They were given a sum of cash before leaving in a vehicle.
A short time later, the same men robbed a service station in Lakelands also armed with a tomahawk and baseball bat.
The men fled the store after being given a sum of cash and cigarettes.
On May 26 detectives were advised of two aggravated armed robbery offences which had only just been committed in close proximity to each other and within minutes of each other.
These offences occurred at a service station in Munster and Spearwood.
With the assistance of Mandurah police, Rockingham detectives and other police officers, Regional Investigations Unit detectives apprehended the two men in Greenfields.
A subsequent search warrant on a residence in Windermere Way, Greenfields resulted in stolen property being located.
A 21-year-old Greenfields man and a 20-year-old Dawesville man have each been charged with three counts of aggravated armed robbery and one count of attempted aggravated armed robbery.
They are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
