A HUGE painting created during the Stretch Arts Festival is now on display at Falcon eLibrary.
The painting, called Collective Spirit, was created by about 35 people and is on a 2.2-metre by 1m canvas.
It started as a basic sketch and participants added acrylic paint and charcoal during six hours of the festival.
Project coordinator Michael Bell organised the painting for The Environment and Heritage Group, which aims to raise awareness of environmental and heritage issues in the region.
Mr Bell said group members were currently involved in several projects, including bushland and wetland regeneration and environmental education.
“We wish to thank the City of Mandurah for organising the terrific event, as well as all the people who contributed to and attended the event,” he said.
The painting will be on display at the Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre, at the corner of Flavia and Cobbler streets, Falcon, until June.
