IF YOU head down to the eastern foreshore this weekend, you’ll see a touching tribute.
More than 32,000 felt, paper, woolen and plastic poppies created as part of the City of Mandurah’s poppy project will be on display.
The poppies are on display in the water close to the shore and on raised wire structures on the grass near the Merchant Tea and Coffee café end of the foreshore.
They will be there until Tuesday so guests have all long weekend to check them out.
Project coordinator and visual artist Jodie Davidson said the group received more than the expected number of poppies and that the installation was going well.
The poppies will be donated to the RSL after the project is completed.
