THERE is still time for Mandurah community groups and schools to be part of this year's Banners in the Terrace community art project.
The Mandurah Adventure Guides are working hard on their design, and looking forward to the Stretch Art Festival in May where all designs will be on show.
The winning design will be decided by public vote and made into a full-scale banner to be displayed in Perth in August.
The annual Banners in the Terrace Competition is one of the State's largest single community arts projects and each year brings St Georges and Adelaide Terraces alive with colourful vibrant works from communities around the State.
Held in conjunction with the WA Local Government Convention and supported by the City of Perth, banners painted by community groups, art groups and school children are entered in one of five categories covering school ages, community/non professional and professional artists.
Banner designs must be submitted by April 15.
