THE rain didn't dampen an enthusiastic crowd of fans who flooded into the Mandurah foreshore to enjoy X-Factor's Dean Ray live on stage on Saturday night.
Ray lived up to his intense and brooding description, captivating thousands with his renditions of Bette Davis Eyes and Budapest.
The Melbourne-born star hit the stage at 7.45pm as the Mandurah Crabfest's headline act, and wowed the audience with a range of powerful acoustic songs.
Crowds were then treated to a spectacular fireworks show which lit up the overcast skies.
