MAJOR Crime officers are investigating following the discovery of a body in Mandurah on Wednesday.
Initially the death was reported as not suspicious, but police returned to the Coodanup scene on Thursday to continue investigations.
The male body, which is yet to be formally identified, was found in bushland near a path which runs off Wellstead Way, near the Pinjarra Road and Mandurah Road intersection.
Police believe the man to be a 35-year-old.
They said they believe the man was planning to visit an associate, but his last movements are yet to be confirmed.
He was last seen alive about 6pm on Tuesday.
A section of bush has been cordoned off by police with detectives speaking to nearby residents on Thursday afternoon.
