THE annual Barrett Bunbury Swim Thru attracted hundreds of spectators to the Parade Hotel to watch competitors tackle the 1.6 kilometre course along the Leschenault Inlet.
The event is held as part of the Aquaspectacular long weekend and always attracts a healthy field of swimmers.
Bunbury woman Lucy Nankervis came in closest to her nominated time, finishing in 45 minutes and five seconds with a nominated time of 45 minutes.
Wembley 24-year-old Andrew Donaldson was the first male across the line in an impressive time of 20 minutes and 25 seconds, while Bunbury 21-year-old Kate Bird was the first female at 22 minutes and two seconds.
