Weapons, drugs, firearms and stolen vehicles were seized in a massive police sting in the southern suburbs of Perth.
Police say operation "First Edition" was launched in November, after a spike in the number of crimes related to the supply of and selling of drugs in areas from Fremantle to Mandurah.
As part of the operation 83 warrants were executed, which saw heroin, amphetamine, ecstasy, cannabis, ammunition and firearms seized.
Almost 100 people were charged with 217 offences, including possession of drugs with the intent to sell or supply, stealing, burglary, fraud, possession of stolen property and stealing cars.
Inspector Peter Branchi, from the South Metropolitan District office, said on Thursday there was a well-established link between the supply of illicit drugs and other crimes in the community.
"Even a low level drug dealer can have a noticeable impact on their local community due to their customers committing burglary and stealing offences to pay for their drugs, so when we see an increase in such crimes we know it is likely due to increased drug-related activity," he said.
"Targeting the 'end of the line' drug suppliers and their customers is an important part of tackling the bigger drug syndicates that exist. Everyone from the bottom of the drug supply chain to the top is only interested in making a profit
"They don't care if your house is broken into, or what impact that has on you. They don't care about the health, family and social issues they cause in the community. They don't care about the lives they ruin."
Cockburn Police Sergeant Josh Murray said one house they raided had a trap set up for anyone who wandered onto the property uninvited.
He said there was a rubber mat with nails sticking out, which was covered with sand.
"Whether they were targeting police or associates of their own, I can't say," he said.
"It didn't penetrate their (officers) feet but it certainly went into their boots."
