Firefighters are still battling an out-of-control and unpredictable fire in the Pinjar fire plantation, with fears a predicted wind change could increase the threat to lives and homes.
At 6am Wednesday, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services issued a watch and act notice for people in parts of Nowergup, Pinjar, Yanchep and Carabooda in an area bound by Clover Road, Wanneroo Road, Wesco Road and Perry Road in the City of Wanneroo.

The fire is moving towards the eastern part of Yanchep and a prediction of north-easterly winds from 7am means the fire could move south-westerly towards Wanneroo Road.
There were pockets of active fires and DFES warned burning embers were likely to be blown around homes.
Residents were warned of a possible threat to lives and homes and that they needed to be ready to actively defend their properties.
A bushfire advice remained in place for people in the southern part of Nowergup, south of Wesco Road to Wattle Avenue.
And an advice had also been issued for people west of Wanneroo Road to the coast, including the Yanchep townsite, Yanchep National Park, Eglington and Alkimos.
A temporary evacuation centre had been established at the Gumblossom Community Centre, on Tapping Way in Quinns Rocks.
Motorists should avoid the area and monitor the Main Roads website or call 138 138 for further road closure details.
