CELEBRATE the new year with a bang on the eastern foreshore, with two sets of fireworks, live music and free activities.
The alcohol and smoke free, family-friendly event will kick off at 6pm, with fireworks at 9pm and again at midnight.
Mayor Marina Vergone said New Year’s Eve is a great night for the whole community to come together, share some great entertainment and say goodbye to 2014.
The party atmosphere will continue throughout the night with live entertainment including Forever Michael and his band, local band Sweet Sister, dance group Hazard Us and the sounds of the 1960s and 70s soul band.
There will be bouncy castles, a mini merry-go-round and King Carnival sideshow games for the kids.
Sector X will be bigger and better than last year for those aged 11 to 25.
The free activities will include Airbots, laser tag, a DJ, a photobooth and a chill out area.
Police will be out in force to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable night.
The City will provide a complimentary shuttle service from Mandurah Train Station to the visitors centre near the foreshore from 6pm-1am.
Road closures come into effect on Mandurah Terrace from 5pm and water exclusions on the estuary around the War Memorial from 8.30pm.
Rangers have advised that dogs are scared of fireworks, so leave them safely at home.
