DONNYBROOK: More than 3000 people travelled to Donnybrook to take part in the inaugural True Grit obstacle race.
BUNBURY: An eight hour manhunt through Dalyellup by police failed to capture a man wanted for a string of alleged aggravated burglaries. He was eventually arrested two weeks later in Northam.
BUSSELTON: A local business owner was “disgusted” with the City of Busselton after CCTV footage proved he had been issued a parking infringement just 39 minutes after he parked in a one hour parking bay.
COLLIE: Drugs, weapons and a large amount of cash were seized by police during six raids in Collie as part of Operation White Cloud.
MANDURAH: A man who callously beat his wife with bolt cutters while she sat on the toilet was jailed for six years. The court heard the man had a cigarette and a beer before calling paramedics.
BUNBURY: A local man was fined $500 after he was arrested chanting “Tony Abbott is an a***hole” while out for a night on the town.
