MAKING the dreams of seriously ill children come true will now be easier for the Mandurah Rockingham Make-A-Wish branch with a new van.
The vehicle was donated by Hyundai Help for Kids, an initiative established to provide grants for Australian organisations that support children.
Make-A-Wish Australia was selelcted as a charity partner and the Mandurah branch picked up their van last Wednesday.
A Make-A-Wish spokesperson said the three-seat Hyundai iLoad would replace an old and unreliable van that was not suitable for travelling long distances.
“This new, reliable van will mean that the volunteers can reach their wider community and pick up gift-in-kind donations that will help stock the Wishing You Well store and in turn raise more funds to help grant more wishes for seriously-ill children,” the spokesperson said.
The Wishing You Well store is located on the corner of Kulin Way and Reserve Drive, Mandurah and proceeds go directly to helping children in Mandurah and Rockingham.
Volunteers are always welcome at the Mandurah store and for more information call 0412 529 058 or go to makeawish.org.au
