HALLS Head are now more than five points clear at the top of the ladder after a strong win against Waroona at Waroona Turf.
Halls Head opener Andrew Tatterson continued his strong form scoring 88 off 94 balls.
Tatterson cracked 13 boundaries to help Halls Head reach 9/207 from 50 overs.
He now has 353 runs for the season, which is second only to South Mandurah’s Michael Holmes on 375.
For Waroona, James Jovanovich took three wickets for just 24 runs from his 10 overs.
In reply, Waroona only managed to get to 164 runs with Ben Wright making 62.
Josh Petersen was the pick of the bowlers for Halls Head taking 5/17 from 6.1 overs.
Meanwhile, Shoalwater Bay were too good at Stan Twight East Turf against Pinjarra.
Bradley Ranford led Shoalwater Bay with 65 from 117 balls to take them to 7/194 from 50 overs.
Ryan Pack and Jamie Lee were the pick of the bowlers for Pinjarra with three wickets each.
In reply, regular wickets from Shoalwater Bay made it difficult for Pinjarra to stay in the game and they were eventually bowled out for 128.
Pack also contributed with the bat, scoring with 35 from 62 balls with Joshua Gorman the only other batsman to make it into the 20s.
At Settlers Turf, Keren and Liam Ugle’s 50s were not enough to get Warnbro over the line against White Knights Baldivis.
Keren Ugle scored 75 to lead them to 7/197 from 50 overs.
Bradley Raath bowled six maidens for White Knights Baldivis to go along with his two scalps. White Knights Baldivis chased down the score thanks to Hayden Lynn’s first 50 of the season, to take them to 7/214.
Roy Crouch scored an important 34 at the tail end of the innings to get them over the line.
Keren Ugle also managed three wickets with the ball but it was not enough for the win.
Ugle has had a strong allround season with 18 wickets at an average of 8.11 and 248 runs at 31, putting him in the top five for both categories.
Another strong performance by Jeremy Leatherbarrow led Mandurah to victory over South Mandurah at Meadow Springs.
Leatherbarrow scored just 24 runs in his first five innings for the season, before cracking 128 last week and 59 this week.
Dylan Smith chipped in with 28 runs while South Mandurah’s Brad Holmes took three.
South Mandurah was then bowled out for 136 from 39.3 overs with Jamie Edwards taking four wickets.
Michael Holmes and James Epis top-scored with 32 each with only two other batsman making it past 10.
Singleton Irwinians had an important win against Hillman at Warnbro Turf.
Hillman made 120 in the first innings from 43.5 overs with Christopher Thomson scoring 30 at the top of the order.
Daniel Jones took three wickets for Singleton Irwinians while Ian Bowes went for just 22 runs from his 10 with three maidens.
Singleton made 150 in reply from 45.1 overs with number eight Michael Needs making 42.
Phil Green took 4/16 from 7.1 overs, but it was not enough to win and lift Hillman off the bottom.
