Alcoa has pleaded guilty to breaching safety laws following the death of Erskine man Paul Fry.
MORE than five years after the death of an Erskine man at Alcoa’s Wagerup refinery, the mining giant has pleaded guilty to breaching safety laws in the Perth Magistrates Court.
Paul Fry died after falling at work while high-pressure cleaning a tank in September, 2009.
The father of three was employed by Alcoa contractor Transpacific Industrial Solutions (TIS), which has already been fined more than $170,000 over Mr Fry’s death.
Alcoa could be fined up to $200,000 when the case is finalised this week.
