A MANDURAH man with 13 previous assault convictions against the same woman was released from custody on Friday.
Ashanafi Roan T Pal pleaded guilty in Mandurah Magistrates Court to three counts of breaching a police order not to contact the protected woman and one count of damaging the woman’s vehicle.
The incidents happened on October 14 after police prohibited Mr Pal from making contact with the victim.
This order was breached three times in the early hours of the morning.
At 10.30 the same day Mr Pal damaged a vehicle belonging to the woman by throwing rocks and bricks at it and hitting the windscreen, the rear window and the bonnet.
Mr Pal spent one week in custody and said he was sorry for his actions and wanted to pay for the vehicle’s repair.
Magistrate Robert Young referred to Mr Pal’s behaviour as spiteful and vindictive and fined him $2000.
