Mandurah residents penalised for failing to vote
MANDURAH Magistrates Court fined three people on Tuesday who failed to vote at an election.
Elizabeth Anne Sheridan, Robert Michael Smith and Clinton Travis Swift were each fined $50 and ordered to pay court costs of $108.
A representative for the electoral role of Canning and Brand said the penalties could have been avoided if the residents had paid a $20 fine.
The offenders did not appear in court.
