A LOCAL carer will be sent to Perth for sentencing after she pleaded guilty to bashing her former elderly client.
Judith Dawn James admits she had been drinking heavily and was under the influence of drugs when she kicked her 60-year-old victim in the head and left him to bleed while she attempted to clean up the scene and hide evidence.
Counsel for Ms James said her client had “no explanation” for the random attack but said the duo had since terminated their professional relationship.
The victim’s injuries were so horrific, the man will require a metal plate to be inserted into his jaw.
While in court on Friday, the Department for Corrective Services noted Ms James had provided two dirty urine samples, in breach of her September bail.
Ms James said she drank from a bottle of a friend to produce the first positive urine result and would dispute the second result at a later date.
Ms James’ bail was continued to her Perth hearing on December 12.
