Dozens of dogs from Mandurah showcased their finest features at PETstock last weekend, all vying for the title of Australia’s Cutest Dog.
After the judges navigated some very tough competition and loads of ‘puppy dog eyes’, Humphrey, a three-year-old Chow Chow was officially crowned the Cutest Dog in Mandurah.
Humphrey will progress to the state finals this week.
PETstock chief Shane Young said while the competition was tough, the weekend’s event proved to be a great day out for everyone.
“It was great to see local residents proudly show off their buddies and we were blown away by their efforts to stand out from the crowd," he said.
"Congratulations Humphrey!”
With a national prize pool totalling more than $65,000, dog owners across the country have their eyes set on the competition.
“Local store winners received a $250 PETstock gift card, the state winners will receive a $1000 PETstock gift card and the national winner will take home a luxury-spec Renault Koleos valued at $34,990," Mr Young said.
"Not to mention the bragging rights that come with having Australia’s cutest dog."
