A 27-year-old Girrawheen man has been charged with drug charges and stealing a vehicle after he was pulled over by police in the northern suburbs in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Around 2.20am officers from the Vehicle Crime Unit spotted a Kia Sportage with stolen number plates at the intersection of Marrangaroo Drive and Templeton Crescent, Girrawheen.
Police searched the car and it is alleged a number of items were found, including balaclavas, torches and a crowbar.
Police also located the car's original number plates. Police allege the vehicle was stolen from a commercial business in Koondoola.
The 27-year-old man has been charged with two counts of stealing, possessing amphetamines, possessing drug paraphernalia and possession of house-breaking implements.
He will appear in court at a later date.
