BUSINESS savvy Mandurah Baptist College (MBC) students helped make the school’s open day a success with a range of fun activities recently.
Students sold bacon and egg burgers with hash browns and ran activities like a big inflatable velcro wall, an obstacle course, a dunking machine, an inflatable gladiator ring and an arcade with foosball and air hockey machine.
MBC head of year 11 Bradley Angelos said the day gave students the opportunity to have a real-life experience in running a business.
“The students learn in a practical way the concepts of accounting, management, marketing whilst also developing their communication skills, organisation skills, team working skills and time management skills,” he said.
The challenge was part of the course work for year 10 business students and they had to make or order their own products, hire any equipment, advertise or market their product, keep financial records and register their business.
