THE Art of Healing Festival organiser Tracey Coluzzi said the aim of having different healing options available in one place was to encourage people to be open about different avenues they could take.
The second time the event has been held in Mandurah, the October 11-12 festival will offer kinesiology, reflexology, aromatherapy, reiki, bowen and massage therapy.
“I implore people to search for answers,” Ms Coluzzi said.
“Don’t take things as gospel; give [alternative healing methods] a chance. People can talk to practitioners [at the festival] for a small fee.
“It takes the fear out of it and the unknown out of the alternatives.”
She said out of all the therapies available on the day, kinesiology was one which would surprise most people as it “doesn’t let your body lie”.
“People are very surprised that it’s a non-invasive and very calming atmosphere at the festival,” Ms Coluzzi said. The Art of Healing Festival will be at the Masonic Hall, 16 Furnissdale Road, Barragup on October 11-12 from 9am-4pm.
