TWENTY-four Country All Time and Country Residential state records were broken at the 2014 SWA Junior Short Course Championships.
Peel Aquatic Club swimmers joined more than 500 athletes from around the state and country at HBF Stadium to compete at the championships.
The 18 team members from the Peel club managed to secure 62 top-eight placing's and brought home 23 individual medals and two relay medals.
Of the 20 State Country records to fall 10-year-old Peel swimmer Ben Hollow achieved more than half.
Hollow smashed 12 WA Country record times, some of which had stood since 2002.
Caitlin Leather (8) broke six State Country records including the girl’s 100metre backstroke held by her older sister since 2011.
Charlee Sheppard broke her previous country record in the 400 individual medley (IM) by 6.25 seconds to claim a bronze medal.
Sheppard, Leather and Holow broke 16 Peel Aquatic Club records between them with 12-year-old Sarah Rudler breaking the 800m freestyle record.
The boys 10 and under relay team entered their races as underdogs but swam strongly to win a bronze in the freestyle relay by 0.15 of a second.
They went two places better in the medley relay to win gold.
Quinn Walton (eight) was the only eight-year-old backstroke swimmer in the relay and was able to record a 3.32-second personal best (PB) time.
Finlay Larmour (10) took up the mantle with the breaststroke leg and touched the wall with the team in second position.
Hollow brought the team into first position following his butterfly leg with Wil Burdon (nine) finishing the job in the freestyle leg to give the team a two-second win.
The boys broke the medley relay country record which has stood since 2004 by 8.54 seconds.
At the conclusion of the event the Peel Aquatic Club held onto a top eight spot to finish in seventh as the top country club. on a fantastic result.
