Police are investigating a possible machete attack outside a Hay Street nightclub in August that may have robbed a young man the use of his arm.
The incident started at Shape Nightclub when the 23-year-old victim was punched in the head by an unknown man about 1.30am on Sunday August 24, police spokeswoman Susan Usher said.
Security threw both men out of the club, however the two men clashed in the carpark of the Carlton Hotel, directly across the road, with the 23-year-old man having his arm slashed with what police described as a bladed weapon, possibly a machete.
The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious arm injuries and he may not regain full use of the limb.
The offender is believed to be in his mid 20s with an olive complexion, 183 centimetres tall, wearing a long-sleeved business shirt and pants.
Police believe the man pictured can help them with their investigation, and would like anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
