THE daughter of member for Collie-Preston Mick Murray faced the Bunbury Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with drug offences following a police raid in East Bunbury.
Police executed a misuse of drugs act search warrant on the East Bunbury home of Bree Murray, 35, on Tuesday.
It is alleged during the search they located approximately 101 grams of methylamphetamine, 125 grams of MDMA, 20 grams of cannabis and $1,700 in cash.
Police inquiries are continuing and a male resident of the address is still to be spoken to by police.
Ms Murray has been charged with two counts of possess prohibited drug with intent to sell and supply and one count of unlawful possession.
The street value of the drugs was $150,000.
Mr Murray has appealed for understanding from the media at a very difficult time for his family and requested that his family’s privacy be respected while they came together to support his daughter.
Mr Murray said he and his family had been shattered by his daughter’s on-going struggle with drugs.
“My daughter has been fighting a 15 year addiction and we will continue to stand by her to give her the love and support she needs," Mr Murray said.
“Like many other families, we have been touched by the terrible scourge of drugs.
“My wife Anna and I and my other daughters are uniting and regrouping to do all we can to help."
