Daniel Ricciardo has joined fellow Australian Mark Webber and F1 legend Michael Schumacher by being awarded the illustrious Trofeo Bandini.
The award, established in 1992 and named after Italian driver Lorenzo Bandini, was presented to Ricciardo on Sunday.
Other recipients of the award include Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and David Coulthard.
"I was quite overwhelmed with the reception I received at the event - the Italians really love their motorsport," the 25-year-old told AAP.
"To be awarded with the Lorenzo Bandini trophy was an honour and to join the many great drivers on that list makes me proud."
