FRIDAY UPDATE: A severe weather warning is still in place for Mandurah, more than 24 hours after it was originally issued.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, isolated thunderstorms and heavy showers are still expected through to Saturday morning, but a warning for damaging winds has since been lifted.
Mandurah has so far avoided the majority of the storm with less than 20mm of rainfall recorded since 6am.
The next update on the warning will be provided at 11pm Friday.

THURSDAY: Mandurah and its surrounding suburbs are on a severe weather warning.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, a slow-moving cold front will move through the southwest of the State until Friday afternoon.
Damaging winds and heavy rainfall are forecast.
"The front is likely to produce heavy rainfall that may cause flash flooding," a BoM warning read.
"Rainfall from this front is expected to be heavier than normal."
Winds are forecast in excess of 100km/h which can cause damage to homes and property.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should store or weigh down loose objects such as outdoor furniture, have an emergency kit with a battery operated radio, torch, spare batteries and first aid kit, ensure pets and animals are in a safe area, move vehicles undercover, securely moor boats and if outside, find shelter away from trees, power lines, storm water drains and streams.
