MANDURAH councillors and MLA David Templeman took on the Ice Bucket Challenge for motor neurone disease (MND) on Wednesday.
Mayor Marina Vergone, Deputy Mayor Darren Lee, Cr Dave Schumacher and Mr Templeman all took part in the challenge, which has become a viral sensation of late.
So far more than $200,000 has been raised for the MND Research Institute of Australia because of the challenge.
MND is a progressive, terminal neurological disease with no known cure or effective treatment and sufferers gradually lose the use of their limbs and ability to speak, breathe and swallow.
