IT’S the ultimate in double trouble for teams playing against the Panthers netball club with nine sets of twins to contend with.
The spike in multiple registrations was first picked up by Panthers committee member and coach Fiona Watson, who said the influx of multiples was “twice as nice” for the club.
“They just keep popping up,” she said.
“They’re everywhere.”
Ranging in age from 10 – 18, the nine twin sets include 17 players.
And with most of them identical pairs, one can only feel for opposing team members.
Club founder Ian Brockett said the club was aiming for a set of triplets next season.
For now though the club is happy with their duplicates.
