Community First Ability Arts Program Mandurah will perform The Journey at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre this month.
It is the second time the group has performed the show, which is written and performed by locals with disabilities.
“The guys that aren’t involved in the acting are working behind the scenes,” team leader Tennille O’Neill said.
“We decided to do the show because they are part of the community too and they should have the same opportunities as everyone else.
“They wrote the whole show themselves and [Creative director] Kellee [Aberg] helped to piece it together.”
The Journey will show on August 19-20 and tells the stories of past journeys of those with a disability.
