LOCAL artists have taken out the top prizes in A Digital City in a Connected World competition at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (CASM).
Tanya Cummins and Paul Fleetham have been awarded first and second place respectively, with Carmel Wise and Sally Newman receiving high commendations for their artworks.
The judges also awarded five other local artists and one international artist with honourable mentions.
A Digital City in a Connected World consists of 30 exhibits and has generated a lot of enthusiasm and support from local and international artists as far away as Hamburg, Germany.
Artists were asked to explore and engage with the concepts of digital technology, connectedness, imagined future technology and the influences of contemporary digital products within our regional city through to the extended world in two and three dimensional materials.
The Telstra sponsored exhibition which opened at CASM on Friday, July and will close on Sunday, August 10.
