Kalgoorlie house fire death 'not suspicious'

Police were called to the home on Hare Street at 10.30am on Saturday, police spokeswoman Barb Donarski said.

She said evidence suggested the fire, which likely occurred between midnight Friday and the early hours of Saturday morning, was confined to one room of the house, in which a 61-year-old woman was found deceased.

Kalgoorlie detectives will prepare a report for the coroner.
