A DUDLEY Park man will face Mandurah Magistrates Court on Wednesday after being caught at an alleged 226km/h last month.
About 7.50pm on June 22, a speed camera was set up to monitor vehicles travelling on Mandjoogoordap Drive in Lakelands.
The camera detected a Holden Commodore sedan travelling at 226km/h in the 90km/h speed zone.
The vehicle was impounded for 28 days and police officers launched an investigation into who was driving the vehicle at the time of the speed camera detection.
It will be alleged a 40-year-old man was driving the vehicle at the time.
He has been charged with reckless driving.
It will also be alleged a 37-year-old woman claimed to be the driver at the time even though the photo showed a man driving the car.
The woman has been charged in relation to providing false information when required to identify the driver.
She will appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on July 30.
