FOR the first time in four years Bicycling Western Australia’s Cyclo Sportif series will return to Pinjarra on July 27.
The event will commence at the Pinjarra Park Racecourse with three distances, 75kilometres, 45km and 30km designed to suit riders of all levels and experience.
Riders head off from 9am in teams of four to nine from Racecourse Road, Pinjarra with a climb to Dwellingup before returning to the start point.
People can enter as a team or individuals can opt to be placed in a composite team that matches their ability and experience.
“The Cyclo Sportif Pinjarra provides riders of all abilities a great day out in the picturesque Peel region within the Shire of Murray,” Bicycling Western Australia’s CEO Jeremey Murray said.
“The great thing about a Cyclo Sportif is that it is just about giving it a go and having fun – there are no winners or losers.
“Alcoa of Australia is again sponsoring this event and their involvement has been paramount to the success of the Waroona rides in the past.
“We are looking forward to Alcoa and their riders leading the way on their home turf on July 27.”
Following the event a buffet lunch will be served to all riders in the grounds of Pinjarra Racecourse before the prize and awards presentations.
